Planet Abled India Foundation

The Planet Abled India Foundation (PAIF) is the not-for-profit arm of Planet Abled. We focus on advocacy, DEI projects with corporations, and promoting travel and leisure experiences for disabled people in India facing financial hardship.

10% of all Planet Abled’s profits are donated to PAIF.

Advocacy

Our advocacy work centers on challenging authorities to address the critical issue of accessibility for all. This involves all aspects from built environments, communications, and cultural inclusion. Our efforts include launching campaigns, forging partnerships, and engaging in consultations with government bodies to influence policy changes.

We deliver talks, speeches, and workshops in schools, colleges, and universities across India, educating the next generation about the significance of accessibility and fostering a culture of inclusion and understanding.

Pro bono work

We drive positive change by actively engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Through pro bono projects with entities like the Ministry of Tourism in India, we strive to influence policy and promote accessibility on a national scale.

We write newspaper articles, and provide free resources to local organizations, empowering organisations to implement inclusive practices independently. At the heart of our activism lies the belief that everyone deserves equal access and opportunities. Through our work, we aim to create a world where accessibility is not an afterthought but designed from the beginning, enriching lives and fostering a sense of belonging for all.

For many people with disabilities, travel opportunities are limited for various reasons, including accessibility issues and financial constraints. By gifting a holiday experience, we not only grant them the joy of exploration but also the satisfaction of conquering challenges, boosting their confidence, and creating lasting memories.

Intercultural Exchanges

Through our trips, Planet Abled makes all possible efforts to impact local disability organizations positively by organizing intercultural interactions and awareness sessions for travellers. This exposes children with disabilities to people from all over the world and allows them to spend a day and a hearty meal with them. 

Excursions for Children with Disabilities

Most often children with multiple disabilities don’t get as many opportunities for excursions. At Planet Abled we make sure to make picnics, outings and excursions accessible for them as well and financial constraints do not come in the way.
